How long does it last?

Microbladed eyebrows last 1 to 2 years for most people, before it usually needs a touch up. This can vary depending on the skin type and how you take care of the treated area.

Why is it neccessary to do a touch up?

Touch up is necessary because everyone heals differently and therefore the outcomes vary. Sometimes it is necessary to adjust the color and brow thickness by adding more strokes. In the touch up session, the final adjustments are made to assure the client’s satisfaction.

Can a touch up be done in less than four weeks?

Is microblading right for me?

Microblading is great for women who want fuller, more defined eyebrows, but don’t have the patience (or skills) to draw them in with pencils and brushes every morning.

However, there are certain conditions that could prevent you from undergoing this transformative procedure. Ask your physician first if any of the following apply to you.

If you have any contradictions below, please consult with your doctor.

  • Diabetes

  • Pregnant or Nursing

  • Blood Thinners

  • Postinflammatory hyperpigmentation that is easily triggered

  • If you are using Retin A

  • If your are using Accutane, has to be off at least a year

  • Herpes

  • Glaucoma

  • Autoimmune Disease

  • Keloid

  • Heart Conditions

  • Directly after a strong chemical peel and/or botox treatments

  • Skin diseases such as psoriasis, shingles, or eczema on the treatment area

What if I do not like the result?

Carefully choose your practitioner. Compare the work of various artists before choosing. Discuss your expectations and desired outcome, including the shape, style, and color you wish with the artist. Realize that faces are never perfectly symmetrical. Adjustments may be made during touch up, such as pigment discoloration and color correction. Remember that Microbladed brows will eventually fade away in touch ups are not done..

Before Treatment

There are a few important guidelines for you to follow before the procedure. These will help yield the most natural-looking results and speed up your recovery.

  • Do not tweeze or wax your eyebrows within a week of the procedure. The technician needs to see their natural shape and fullness.

  • Do not arrive tanned or sunburned. The technician needs to know your natural skin tone for proper color matching

  • Discontinue vitamin A/retinol creams/serums/ anti-aging and anti-acne skincare 1 month prior to appointment

  • Do not take fish oil or vitamin E one week prior (natural blood thinners)

  • Do not tint your eyebrows prior to procedure

  • Do not have Botox or a peel 1 month prior to appointment (as well as 1 month after)

  • No Accutane for 1 year prior

  • In order to avoid excess bleeding and poor pigment retention;

1. Do not drink any alcohol the day before your appointment
2. Do not consume coffee before your appointment
3. Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief (as it thins the blood)

  • Eat before appointment

  • make sure you wash your hair before your appointment because you can’t get your BROWS wet for a week

  • Bring headphones cause the sound of scratching your skin is annoying

  • No makeup on your brows at the day of the appointment

  • ✔ Be prepared to stay 2-3 hours for new brows and 1-2 hours for touch ups.

After Procedure

You must strictly follow all of these instructions to ensure proper healing/better result and avoid infection.

  • Notes: Your eyebrows will appear twice as dark and twice as thick during the healing process. Do not use bleach, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide or any lightening products to try soften the dark appearance. Please be patient! Your eyebrows will lose 20-30% of the color intensity when healed.

  • Use ONLY the provided aftercare package and follow the individual instructions.

  • Do not use any other ointments or creams on your eyebrows during the healing process.

  • Do not scratch, rub, or pick at your scabs as it will remove the implanted pigment. It is very important you allow scabbing to flake off by itself.

  • NO water on the brows! Only after no more scabbings are on the brows you may resume your regular facial cleansing, until then cleanse your face around your eyebrows.

  • You can wear makeup but eyebrows below only. Nothing on the brows or forehead.

  • Avoid excessive sweating. However, if you must exercise then a light exercise (no sweating) is allowed after 2 weeks. If you work out regularly and sweat excessively, your brows will heal to a lighter color than intended due to sweat/oils the body produces.

  • Keep out of direct sunlight. For best results, avoid sunbathing and solarium for 30 days.

  • Avoid light therapies, chemical peelings, fruit acids, microdermabrasions, and creams that contain regeneration factors for 30 days.

  • No Retinols, AHA’s, exfoliating and laser treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, botox and any other strong treatments for 6-8 weeks after your procedure.

  • You may resume your growth enhancement products (Latisse, Revitabrow, Grande Lash) after you are fully healed.

  • Please note smoking will cause the pigment to fade prematurely.

  • Remember: The better you take care of the treated area and follow the provided aftercare, the better your results will be.
